Wednesday, 12 September at 5 pm at Škuc Gallery.
The Museum of American Art – Berlin is an educational institution dedicated to assembling, preserving and exhibiting memories primarily on the early Museum of Modern Art and its circulating exhibitions of American art that travelled around Europe during the 1950s. Those were the exhibitions that helped in establishing the first post-war common European cultural identity based on modernism, internationalism and individualism.
The event is part of the exhibition What was Modern Art? Remembering the “What is Modern Art?” Exhibition, prepared by the Archive of the Museum of American Art (Berlin) in collaboration with the Škuc Gallery (Ljubljana).
