On Friday, 23rd of March at 8:30 pm you are kindly invited to attend an event by Viktor Bernik. The event titled “Birthday” is conceived as an artist’s response to the exhibition Institution. A Case Study and organized as part of the accompanying programme.

For Viktor Bernik »art is a set of glasses that brake the ordinary view of the world, and the viewer can then use this new freedom/optic as a possibility for changing the perspective«. Already as a seventeen-year-old, Bernik believed that the best medium for art is life, that his life will become art. Even though life never became art, the yearning still persists, says Bernik, whose statement can be of use when approaching his works, current and past.
