The series of performative dates is part of the project Hold My Hand, where Iza, Lea and Yana (ILY) become Izi, Mom and Dad. In the current, second chapter of the family saga, Mom is looking for a partner, while the collective is seeking potential collaborators. Participants will enter a structured, kind and intimate situation in which they may temporarily take on the role of a potential new family figure or form a new professional connection.

Iza Štrumbelj Oblak, Lea Topolovec and Yana Deliyska are developing an ongoing artistic research project in which each takes on a specific role within a fictional family structure. Drawing on personal memories, expectations and wishes, they open up questions about needs and forms of support through role-play and participatory encounters.

The event will be held in Slovenian or English, depending on the participant’s preference.
