Artist Talk and Book Presentation – Monday, 23. 6., 17:30
Join artists Enar de Dios Rodríguez and Jaione Cerrato for a conversation about their recent book projects. Both books were published in 2024 by PrivatePrint as part of its Emerging Concepts Edition.
Enar de Dios Rodríguez, together with Andrea Steves, co-authored Let It Return — a compelling collection that amplifies voices calling for the restitution of artefacts tied to the imperial legacies of cultural institutions. The book features contributions from artists, researchers, and activists.
Jaione Cerrato, in collaboration with Jon Halls, co-authored Ministry for Nature – Tales of a Climate Social Order, a speculative work imagining a world in which nature takes precedence. The book was developed through a research process involving those on the front lines of climate change in Europe — the citizens and environments of Southern Europe.
The talk will explore how these collaborative works open up new dialogues around the restitution of artefacts, environmental futures, and the role of art in reimagining social and political realities. The discussion will also consider how these publications relate to the authors’ broader practices. The talk will be moderated by Marija Hristova.
