Following a week-long stay between a beautiful apartment in the centre and a very nice gallery space in Ljubljana, three people found themselves in a roughly undefined situation with intentions. The result of this condition formed an event.
The event in question may include self-assessed propositions connected to our recent works.
The event may also include lights, projections, (artist) talks, cocktails, collaborations, kombucha, artists, parts of research, a dog(s), a drag thing, speech proteins, attention disorders, content, questions and documentation.
The event may have a duration of 20 to 60 minutes.

Lojić’s practice orbits around wordsmithing, spatial playlists and multimedia installations. She feels sensory data are a wide, autonomous, free, chaotic, elastic and promiscuous being. In her work she often explores topics of geomotionality, language and the subtle bond of matter.
Dožić’s work is based on exploring media, with interests in media materiality, collaborative practices, DIY culture and recycling, the Anthropocene and geology, as well as sleep and dreams. He has exhibited and performed on various platforms in Croatia and internationally, both individually and in collaborative projects.
nominis will present a view into her research on light and drag. Using materials as forms of magical thinking, they reflect wishfulness on the outer worlds creating and combining fictions to edge the notions between real/magical.

❗️Research Exhibition 2.1 Studio includes a substantial public programme – follow the Škuc Gallery website and social media for upcoming events!
The exhibition will take place as a temporary studio featuring Zagreb-based artists. Luana Lojić, Neža Knez, Nika Pećarina, nominis, Tin Dožić and Vida Guzmić will be exchanging weekly at Škuc Gallery, organising public events (workshops, discussions, group dinners) that foster connections with the local art scene and the public. These events aim to support reflective and collective impulses that counteract the hyper-individualisation and hyper-production of contemporary art and society in general.
